Learn Spanish Online

There are a lot of courses, options and tools available on the Internet that help eager individuals to learn the language in a few, easy and direct lessons. This method of learning is beneficial for those who like to take charge of their own learning process with nominal outside interference but would still prefer to keep the learning experience as systematic and streamlined as possible. Most online tools for teaching Spanish are divided into a lesson-based curriculum, which take the help of professional language teachers to impart the lessons. Learning Spanish through such tools and online courses is just like sitting in a regular Spanish class as it has a teacher, a curriculum and often even tests. The only difference is that this class can be attended from the comfort of your home. The Spanish lessons available online are designed for both beginners and advanced students, ensuring that both the types of students can learn according to their requirements. Online Spanish courses are often structured into multi-level curriculums, which can help students measure their progress as they learn through both textbook and practical exercises.

Daytona Beach, Florida: A Racing Beach

Daytona Beach is a preferred travel destination due to its strategic location. The beach is situated on the Central East Coast of Florida and it is near other popular tourist attractions, especially the theme parks. It also lies some 54 miles from Orlando which is another favorite tourist destination. The beach is easily accessible via the Interstate 4 and Interstate 95 highways. The beach is also served by the Daytona Beach International Airport that serves commercial Airlines.

The average day time temperatures on the Beach are 21 deg. C, regardless of whether it is winter or summer. When winter temperatures try to cool down, the warm breeze from the ocean counters this, thereby restoring the things back to the average 21deg. C. As such, one will realize that at times the inland temperatures might be cooler than the coastline temperature. On some rare occasions, the Hurricane might reverse its course and cause some nasty weather conditions on the beach, and the probability of this happening is between August and December. The beach usually floods with visitors as from June all the way through August, when schools are on holidays.

The Daytona Beach is a favorite travel option due to many reasons. It has easy access that enables even automobiles to dock on it. This is due to its slope that is gentle and made of tightly packed white sand. It has enough space, stretching for approximately 23 miles with a maximum width of 500 feet during the low tide. However, driving and parking are limited by the tide’s behavior and sand dunes which can at times reach a height of 25 feet.

One of the common activities in Daytona Beach is automobile racing. It is an old practice that dates back to the early 20th century. History was made on the beach on March 29th 1927 by Major Henry Segrave who was an Englishman, when he surpassed the 200 miles per hour speed limit in his Sunbeam car, “Mystery S.” The International Speedway was completed in the year 1959, giving way for the first Daytona 500. The race took place on February 22nd that same year. Since then, the racing heritage on the beach has evolved up to what it has today. The race usually attracts more than 150,000 fans and it is normally broadcasted on CBS. There are also other racing tracks nearby, and these are the New Smyrna Speedway located in the New Smyrna Beach as well the Volusia County Speedway which is found in Barberville. These two tracks spring to life with action on each and every Saturday night.

Other attractions in the Daytona area include the Pounce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse Museum, the Adventure Lauding, which is a water park cum an entertainment center, and the DAYTONA USA, which is a motorsport attraction designed for interaction.

There are many accommodation options in Daytona Beach. The facilities range from cottages to Mediterranean-styled villas. The area has a program known as the Superior Small Lodging program that helps visitors make the right accommodation choices while visiting the area.

The All Year Round Warm Miami, Florida

Miami is situated on the Atlantic coast, to the southern tip of Florida. It is characterized by warm climatic conditions all year round, with summers being very hot and humid. As such, one can never miss out on the outdoor activities which remain open throughout the year. However, October through April records high tourist numbers. The popular dressing in Miami is casual code.

A large percentage of Miami’s population is made up of thousands of many immigrants of Hispanic origin from Puerto Rico, Cuba, Central and South America. Consequently, Spanish is spoken in almost each and every part of the city. Moreover, many of the signs are communicated in both English and Spanish languages. The area around Calle Ocho Street plays host to all the Latin America immigrants.

Some people will often confuse Miami for Miami Beach and vice versa. These are completely two different cities. Miami Beach is a completely tourism oriented city consisting of facilities mainly geared towards tourist attraction. The city is found on the outer bank. Miami on the other hand is considered to be a cosmopolitan city and is located on the mainland. However, the two cities are neighborhoods to each other.

There is a wide range of tourist attractions in Miami. Other than the beach fun, one can opt to visit other sites like the Monkey Jungle, the Parrot Jungle and Gardens, the Metro-Dade Cultural Center, the Metrozoo, the Holocaust Memorial or the Italian style Vizcaya villa. Tourists can also treat themselves to some great fun by taking part in activities like fishing, snorkeling, boating, water skiing, skin diving, tennis sessions and golfing. There are also the spectator sports that include Jai alai, greyhound, dog and horse racing. For some nightlife entertainment, one can visit the large hotels in Miami Beach for stage shows. To know specifically what is happening and where, there is a free copy of the “This Week in Miami-Miami Beach” magazine which is available in any hotel. The magazine lists all the current shows and events.  Nightclubs, bars and restaurants are found in the Deco District.

Both Miami and Miami Beach cities are known for the top class restaurants found in the cities and their environs. One can expect to find whatever cuisine they prefer, ranging from the local specialty of fresh seafood to the exotic Italian and French cuisines. The Key Lime Pie is a popular dessert in Florida. One of the most significant restaurants is the Joe’s Stone Crab restaurant found in Miami Beach.

There are two large national parks near Miami, the Everglades National Park and the Biscayne National Park. The former is the largest subtropical park still surviving in the USA, covering over 1.5 million acres of land with natural habitat.

Lastly, as with any large city in the world where personal security is a great concern, Miami tends to have a higher crime rate. Tourists are always advised to be careful with their luggage and valuables and never venture into dangerous zones alone. Nevertheless, it is still relatively safe to visit the city.
